Loss-in-weight feeders – are dosing systems designed for a precise dosing of components. They are used for automated compounding of different mixtures of ingredients in the food, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries. They are used for free-flowing and liquid products.
Dosing systems are used for
- increasing labor productivity and replacement of monotonous personnel work by high-precision machines, which leads to a reduction in the number of people employed in the production staff;
- eliminating the human factor while preparing complex weight combinations, where human errors are often incorrigible and lead to the loss of profit;
- high-precision dosing controlled by the control system in real time. The system provides reports on the number of consumable components, which allows to analyze their consumption and eliminates the situation of overconsumption or waste;
- practically unlimited number of compositions.
The operation principle of micro-feeders is that the accurate dose of a product is measured, and after that the product is fed into packaging bags and other packaging containers. Micro-feeder is equipped with a material feed regulation system. This allows to control the weight of the product and the number of manufactured product units. These dosing systems are especially used in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Such companies always have a need for accurate dosing. Feeders are installed on the line, characterized by an automatic or semi-automatic working cycle. Some micro-feeders have an electronic control due to which their switching on and off control becomes more available.
The number of components, their weight and dosing stages, the subsequent technology of mixing, drying, thermal processing and other processing steps are set through the control panel and can be easily adjusted.
The number of dosing modules (micro-feeders), their location is given in accordance with the requirements of the client. Dosing modules can be added or their position can be changed.
Loss-in-weight feeders can be placed in line, on a circle, by sectors or multi-storied.
Multi-component dosing systems can include micro-feeders that allow dosing of the components weighing up to 5 g. (accuracy up to 0.2 g). Please see the specifications of weighers as follows.
Capacity of the hoppers manufactured according to the customers specifications can vary from 0, 01 to 2 cubic meters. Hoppers can optionally be equipped with a product mixing system, product level sensors, vibration shaking units, dust extraction systems, protection valves against product spillage, inspection windows.
