Automatic corrugated box making line is intend to form four valve carton boxes made of three-five layers carton previously looped in the circle and flat folded.
The line includes:
- Support base on which the all units, mechanisms and systems are placed:
- Blank store magazine (capacity 100pcs) with blank holding and feeding system;
- Manipulator with the material vacuum clamping and expanding/ deployment system on the swing rod and with linear motion;
- Guiding system for deployment and formation of the box;
- the mechanism of lining the lower transverse rear box valve with pneumatic drive;
- the unit of the drawing / moving of the box and sealing longitudinal valves.
- Automatic control cabinet with touch screen:
* system of the sensors of positions of executive mechanisms and cutting line;
* sensor of the machine switch on-off system in case of the lack of the boxes or the transport discharge system filled with boxes.
Automation level: there is required one operator to control the line.
Limitation: manual adjustment by operator using hand wheels to move the limiters in case need changing the size of the box. Maximum dimensions of boxes formed by the machine are as below:
- minimum sizes: length 300 mm, width 200 mm, height 150 mm, height of the blank with upper valves 250 mm;
- maximum sizes: length 730 mm, width 500 mm, height 400 mm, height of the blank with upper valves 650 mm.
Flat sizes of the blanks:
- minimum sizes: length 500 mm, width 350 mm;
- maximum sizes: length 1100 mm, width 900 mm.
The ratio of the length of the workpiece to the height with the open top valves is ˂1.3.
Operating principle:
- The operator sets up adjustments for the required sizes of the boxes.
- Switch on button “RUN” (work).
- After switch on the machine the sensor on output conveyor in 30 meters away from the machine signals about the lack of the boxes.
- Suction cups are feeding by manipulator to the blank store magazine. Vacuum is switched on. The suction cups catch the material.
- Manipulator rotates the workpiece within 90° and simultaneously moves it along the longitudinal axis backwards. The workpiece blank is fully expanded.
- The manipulator moves the expanded workpiece along the axis of the machine forward to the valve closing system.
- Front transverse lower valve is closing by guiding system.
- The bottom transverse rear valve is closed by the alining mechanism of the bottom transverse rear valve of the box with pneumatic drive.
- The box is moving to the tunnel, the belts moving box to the sealing system.
- The manipulator moves back to workpieces store magazine for the next workpiece blank.
- After closing transverse rear valve the guides close the longitudinal bottom valves.
- The uncoiling system and gluing the longitudinal valves between themselves and with the end walls of the box with adhesive tape is switched on and sealing the valves within the mechanical movement of the box.
- After gluing the valves with the rear end wall, the mechanism for trimming tape switches on.
- The box is ready and moved to output conveyor for further stacking of the products.
The cycle is over.
